Our Process from Dubai to Closing in Spain
What We Review to Protect Your Investment
We review the legal issues that may affect the transaction, the value of the business and the position you will take after completion.
This usually includes corporate records, key contracts, licences, tax exposure, employment matters, existing liabilities and any ongoing dispute or compliance issue connected to the target.
Legal Due Diligence Before You Sign
We carry out legal due diligence with a clear focus on the points that matter for your decision and for the terms of the acquisition.
This review helps you understand the legal standing of the business, identify areas that need protection in the purchase agreement and move into the next stage with a stronger position.

Frequently asked questions
Can a foreigner buy a business in Spain?
Yes. A foreigner can buy a business in Spain either personally or through a company. The transaction must follow the legal and regulatory requirements that apply in each case.
Do I need an NIE or a tax number to complete the purchase?
Yes. Individual buyers usually need an NIE, while companies need the relevant tax identification number. This is part of the formal documentation required for the transaction.
Should I buy shares or assets?
That depends on the business, the liabilities involved and the structure of the deal. We assess each transaction to determine which option offers a better legal position for the buyer.
Can I complete the acquisition from Dubai?
Yes. A large part of the process can be handled remotely from Dubai, including document review and legal coordination. Some formal steps may still need to be completed in Spain depending on the transaction.
Will buying a business in Spain give me residency?
Residency must be assessed separately. Law 14/2013 no longer maintains the investor residence provisions in articles 65, 66 and 67, which are without content with effect from 3 April 2025. If your project includes relocation, we assess the route that may apply to your case.
Can we also handle the immigration formalities linked to the acquisition?
Yes. We can assist with the immigration formalities linked to your project in Spain and coordinate them alongside the acquisition so the process remains connected.
